Are you interested in Worker education, cooperatives and Trade Unions?
If so then join our team of Union activists who are building a Cooperative Education Centre in Preston.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to help us develop a project in alliance with unions and the local cooperative business network, someone who can use their own initiative, is a self-starter with a passion for social and economic justice and an ability to motivate and inspire others.
You will need to have strong communication and networking skills, enjoy putting together reports and desk research and feel comfortable with using IT and social media.
Full support and training will be given. This role will suit someone interested in developing their own practical experience of organising and union/worker adult learning in an innovative and supportive environment.
The project will involve organising and promoting education, with a particular focus on creating worker cooperatives.
We welcome applicants from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds.
Project term is 12 months, it pays £20,000 for approximately 0.6 working week.
